Bangladesh left-arm spinner Taijul Islam have dismissed both India openers early on the second day of the Dhaka Test today.

India resumed 19 for naught with K.L. Rahul batting on three with Shubman Gill 14 not out after India bowled out Bangladesh for 227 runs in their first innings yesterday.

Taijul and seamer Khaled Ahmed began proceedings for the Tigers and the latter got the batter to play and miss on a couple of occasions. Meanwhile, Taijul attacked the stumps and it quickly paid dividends for the experienced spinner.

In his third over of the day, Taijul trapped the stand-in India skipper (10) in front with a ball that held its line. The 30-year-old also had to convince his skipper Shakib Al Hasan to go for the review to overturn the umpire's not out decision.

Gill soon followed suit in similar fashion as Taijul struck in his next over's opening delivery, this time the umpire raised his finger amid a strong appeal from the hosts.

India are 60 for two, with Viral Kohli batting with Cheteshwar Pujara, both in double figures, as the visitors still trail by 167 runs.
