Siddons arrives in Dhaka
Former Bangladesh coach Jamie Siddons arrived today in Dhaka to take over as Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB) batting consultant.
The Australian arrived in the afternoon, he confirmed to The Daily Star today. Siddons was in charge of the Tigers as their head coach from 2007 to 2011. Back then, he had worked with the likes of Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan and played an important role in grooming them.
Siddons's role has not been defined yet but according to BCB cricket operations chairman Jalal Yunus had told The Daily Star yesterday. His first assignment will be the upcoming series against Afghanistan.
