MI punish hapless RCB
Mumbai Indians eased to a five-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore, courtesy of a late unbeaten 37-run cameo from Hardik Pandya, in an Indian Premier League match in Mumbai yesterday.
Batting first, RCB were restricted to 171 for seven in their allotted 20 overs with Mumbai Indians' veteran Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga picking up four wickets.
Following the exchange, openers Rohit Sharma (28) and and Quinton de Kock (40) laid the foundation for the chase picking up 70 runs in 7.1 overs.
Pandya provided the finishing touch as he smashed 22 runs off Pawan Negi in the 19th over to clinch victory.
