India beat England by 66 runs in first ODI
Pace bowler Prasidh Krishna claimed four wickets on debut as India thrashed England by 66 runs in the opening one-day international on Tuesday.
Chasing a mammoth 318 for victory, England were bowled out for 251 in 42.1 overs despite a blazing 94 by Jonny Bairstow. They trail the three-match series 1-0.
Shikhar Dhawan (98), KL Rahul (62) and debutant Krunal Pandya (58) helped India to 317-5 after being put into bat first.
All ODIs are at the same venue with the second match on Friday.
