DUFA cricket tourney set to begin

A day-long cricket carnival, titled DUFA Premier League is scheduled to take place on Friday at the Jagannath Hall playground with former Dhaka University students from 1995-96 session taking part in six-a-side cricket tournament.

The tournament, organized by the Dhaka University Friends Association (DUFA) for its members, will be sponsored by Walton. The teams are divided according to six Dhaka zones.

Former Bangladesh Test captain Naimur Rahman Durjoy is expected to inaugurate the tournament amid the huge fanfare and enthusiasm from the DUFA members while DU Jagannath Hall provost Dr. Ashim Kumar Sarker will be present as the special guest.

Khilgaon Dynamites, Sher-e-Mohammadpur and Uttara Lions are pitted in Group A while Group B featured with Bansree Avengers, Mirpur Tigers and Ramna Riders.
