Calefato quits as BCB physio

Julian Calefato has quit his role as the physiotherapist of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) due to personal reasons, informed BCB's cricket operations committee chairman today.
"He is no longer with us [BCB] for personal reasons. His contract, however, was also over. We'll find someone new for the next series," said Akram to The Daily Star.
Calefato, however, took to social media to inform of his resignation.
"End of my innings (for now). With thoughtful consideration I have decided to take a sabbatical after completion of my contract with the Bangladesh Cricket Board," wrote Calefato on his official Instagram page.
"Despite the privilege of maintaining employment working as an international traveling cricket physiotherapist during this pandemic, it certainly was a challenge for all of us team mates and players to adapt to the quarantine and travel demands of the restrictive 'bio-bubble-life'. My nostrils still ache from the more than 100 PCR tests endured over the past 18 months!" the South African added.
Calefato was appointed as the physio of the BCB back in August 2019.
