BPL side Sylhet Strikers find 10 prospects from pacer hunt
A two-day pacer hunt program at the Sylhet Outdoor Stadium organised by newly acquired Bangladesh Premier League franchise Sylhet Strikers saw 10 prospects and four standby pacers get selected for an opportunity to bowl at the team's nets in the ninth edition of the BPL starting on January 6.
The winners of the hunt were selected from a total of 550 aspirants who participated to test their trade in a tryout that set the minimum speed at 75mph to be eligible for further rounds.
The selected pacers will get the opportunity to train under the supervision of domestic and foreign coaches following a virtual session with former Bangladesh bowlers Hasibul Hossain Shanto and Tapash Baisya.
Sylhet Strikers head coach Rajin Saleh and members of the coaching panel Syed Rasel and Russel Ahmed were part of the selection process.
