Al-Amin fined for using abusive language
Right-arm pacer Al-Amin Hossain, who played for the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB)-run South Zone in the recently conlcuded Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL), was fined 50 per cent of his match fees for using abusive language and inappropriate body gesture towards a dismissed batsman on the fourth day of their final against East Zone at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram yesterday.
South Zone romped to their fifth BCL title after beating East Zone comfortaly by 105 runs in the game. However, Al-Amin, who used abusive language and made inappropriate gestures towards East Zone's Mohammad Ashraful after dismissing him in the sixth over, was found guilty for breach of Level 1 (2.5) Offense.
Level 1 breaches carry a minimum penalty of an official warning, a maximum penalty of 50 per cent of match fees.
