Consolation win for Delhi
Delhi Daredevils bagged a consolation 34-run win over second-placed Chennai Super Kings in their Indian Premier League match in Delhi yesterday.
Already out of the playoff race, Delhi rode on 30-plus innings from Rishabh Pant, Harshal Patel and Vijay Shankar to post a competitive 162 for five after being asked to bat.
In Chennai's chase, Delhi overcame a flying start from opener Ambati Rayudu by picking wickets at the other end and economical spells from Trent Boult and Amit Mishra limited Chennai to 128 for six.
