BD demolish Maldives
Bangladesh got a flying start in the South Asian Zone pre-qualifiers of the Dhaka Bank SABA U-18 Asian Championship as they handed a massive 102-50 defeat to Maldives at the Dhanmondi Indoor Basket-ball Gymnasium yesterday.
The hosts dominated the first half with a comfortable 52-11 point lead.
Favourites India also began their campaign on a high with a commanding 112-53 win over Sri Lanka after leading the first half 50-27.
Bangladesh will face India in today's last fixture after the neighbouring nation plays out their second match against Nepal while Sri Lanka and Maldives will go head to head in the day's second match.
