U-23s lose 3rd one-dayer
The Bangladesh U-23 team suffered a 49-run defeat (D/L method) at the hands of their Indian counterparts in the third of a five-match one-day series at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow yesterday.
The match was reduced to 22-overs a side due to rain interruptions.
After being asked to bat, India scored 114 without loss in 22 overs. Both Indian openers Yashasvi Bhupendra Jaiswal and Aryan Juyal remained unbeaten for 53 and 51 runs respectively.
Bangladesh were given a revised target of 174 in 22 overs. Bangladesh faltered to 124 all out in 21.4 overs with a team high of 50 coming from the bat of Mahidul Islam Ankon. For India, right-arm medium pacer Atit Sheth remained the pick of the bowlers, returning figures of three for 11 in his three overs.
