‘Haven’t tested negative yet, we will keep fighting together'
Bangladesh's former ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza dispelled rumours that he had tested negative for coronavirus in a Facebook post from his official account.
The cricketer had announced on June 20 that he had contracted the virus. Mashrafe, who is an elected member of parliament had previously announced that he was doing fine despite catching the virus.
"Different news and social media sites have spread news that I am Covid-19 negative. This is not true as I have not gone for tests again. My wish is to get tested again after 14 days," Mashrafe, who is taking treatment at home, wrote on his Facebook page.
Mashrafe also had a message for his fans and followers, vowing to fight the virus together.
"I am well thanks to the Almighty and your prayers. I am staying at home and taking required treatment. There are no big physical complications. I am praying for myself and everyone in the country who contracted the virus. Everyone stay safe, stay well. We will keep fighting together," he concluded.
