The semifinal lineups of the Independence Cup hockey tournament were decided yesterday after Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Army emerged champions in their respective groups after beating their rivals at the Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium yesterday.

Star-studded Bangladesh Navy beat Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) 5-2 to set their semifinal clash against Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishan (BKSP), who suffered a nail-biting 6-7 defeat at the hands of Bangladesh Army.

Army will face BAF in the other semifinal, which will be held along with the first semifinal on Sunday.
