Sunday, 26th November marked the 75th anniversary of the premier of the classic film Casablanca. Many consider the film to be a timeless story of love, loss and redemption. The iconic story starred Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman as Rick Blaine and Ilsa Lund, two star-crossed lovers whose union had to be sacrificed for the sake of fighting the Nazis. The movie was screened at New York's Hollywood Theater on 26th November, 1942 to capitalize on the invasion of North Africa. Even though the movie won its viewers' hearts slowly, it bagged the Oscars for Best Picture and Best Director in 1944.
