Farooki First Bangladeshi Judge at APSA

The 9th Asia-Pacific Screen Awards (APSA), awarding the best films from the Asia-Pacific region is set to be held in Brisbane, Australia on November 28th, 2015. Michael Hawkins, Chairman of the Asia Pacific Screen Awards announced Korean film industry legend and former Chairman of the Busan Film Festival, Kim Dong-Ho as the 2015 APSA International Jury President.

Mr Kim is joined on the APSA International Jury by award-winning writer/director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. Farooki feels honoured to be the first Bangladeshi to be able to grace the Awards as a jury member and is also anxious as it is a difficult job to judge the best films from the region in the past year. Farooki was previously nominated in APSA for his work in "Television" and his project "No Land's Man" finished top 4 among 100 projects in last years APSA. The nominations for the 9th APSA is set to be announced on October 21.
