IUB welcomes spring
Boshonto Boron Utshob, an integral part of Bengali culture and heritage, was celebrated at Independent University, Bangladesh recently just like every year.
The university authority wore a decorative look and chalked out an elaborate colourful programme including staging drama, performances of dance, Baul songs and poem recitation to mark the day at the university premises on February 13.
The day's event was inaugurated by Prof Milan Pagon, acting vice-chancellor of IUB, which started at 11am where students, faculty members and management staff took part.
IUB Theatre Club staged a drama in the event. Besides, there was also a special segment of Baul Song where Arif Baul certainly brought the cheeriness of spring air in the campus.
With the amazing anchoring of Mazed Makki and Salman Azmir, the programme turned into an enchanting and engaging event.
The programme was concluded by the performances of IUB in-house bands.
