Mama in Your Pocket

It's always a good idea to have a good liaison with the support staff of the university. Be it a security guard, a cleaner or anybody else you casually refer to as "mama", these are the people who will help you out without any paperwork. I once required a multi-plug and a light bulb urgently (don't ask why), and guess who helped me – a mama. Make yourself familiar to them. Save their phone numbers. Once in a while, offer them some tips (not the advice type) after they help you out. Most importantly, behave well and treat them with respect, always.
