Shakib’s suspension reduced
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has reduced the suspension of ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan by over three and a half months, allowing him to return to the cricket from September 15.
In a BCB board meeting at Mirpur today, it was decided that Shakib will be available for selection from September 15 onwards.
However, the BCB’s decision to not provide the left-hander with no objection certificates to play foreign leagues until December 31, 2015 did not see any change.
Shakib who got involved in a series of controversies this year was suspended for six months on July 7. The left-hander appealed against the suspension two weeks later and also apologised for his behaviour.
The BCB took the decision in response to his appeal.
