Shakib makes winning debut
Shakib Al Hasan made a winning start in his second season in the Twenty20 Big Bash League as his side Melbourne Renegades posted a comfortable 37-run win against Hobart Hurricanes at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart yesterday.
The all-rounder contributed with a 12-ball 14, hitting two boundaries as his team posted 163 for 7. Renegades built their innings on a hurricane 37-ball 77 from Ben Stokes, who smashed eight boundaries and five sixes.
The world's top T20 all-rounder Shakib then opened the bowling and scalped two wickets for 33 runs as the Hurricanes were bundled out for 126 runs with four balls to spare.
