Shafi urges Hasina to accept

Hefajat-e Islam Ameer Shah Ahmed Shafi yesterday urged Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to accept the opposition' s demand for a non-party election-time government and a congenial atmosphere for acceptable polls.
Referring to the ongoing countrywide violence, Shafi in a statement also said socioeconomic structure of the country will collapse while its independence will be at stake if the confrontation between the political parties continues.
He urged her to take effective measures to put an end to the violence. He also asked Ulema-Mashayekh across the country to fast tomorrow and offer prayers in mosques for restoration of peace in the country.
