SC wants concise statements on SQ Chy's appeal
The Supreme Court yesterday directed counsels for both the state and convicted war criminal Salauddin Quader Chowdhury to submit to it by February 26 the concise statements on the appeal filed by the BNP leader challenging the verdict against him.

A five-member bench of Appellate Division of the SC passed the order, as the matter came up before it for hearing.
On October 1 last year, the International Crimes Tribunal- 1 convicted Salauddin and sentenced him to death for committing crimes against humanity during the country's Liberation War in 1971.
On October 29 of the same year, the BNP leader filed an appeal with the apex court seeking acquittal from the charges.
