RU Shibir wants arrest of fellow's attackers

The activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir of Rajshahi University unit yesterday submitted a memorandum to the vice chancellor demanding immediate arrest of the attackers of their fellow Rasel Alam.
On Tuesday, a group of pro-Awami League Bangladesh Chhatra League men allegedly severed the right ankle of Rasel, 24, a fourth year student of Finance and Banking Department and Shibir secretary of Nawab Abdul Latif Hall unit.
The Shibir men also threatened to call an indefinite strike if the culprits are not arrested by tomorrow.
Rasel's mother Raziya Begum claimed that Motihar police refused to file a case in connection with the attack.
However, Officer-in-Charge Alamgir Hossain said nobody came to the police station in this regard.
