Road crashes kill seven, injure nine

Countrywide road accidents killed seven people and injured nine others yesterday.
Our Benapole correspondent reports, two people were killed and five others injured when a three-wheeler turned turtle as the driver lost control over the vehicle on Benapole-Jessore road in Sarsa upazila.
The deceased were Abder Rahman, 34, and Tofajjal Hossain, 35, of Akjhala village.
Our Kushtia correspondent reports, two people were killed and three others injured when a bus skidded off the Kushtia-Pabna highway at Talbaria in Mirpur upazila.
The deceased were Rony Ahmed, 18, and Sefali Khatun, 45, of the upazila.
Our Bhola correspondent reports, a woman died and her husband was injured when a motorcycle hit a roadside lamp on Bhola-Charfassion road near Abul Bazar area in Borhanuddin upazila.
The deceased was Nilufar Yasmin, 25, wife of Yousuf of Aralia village.
Our Rangpur correspondent reports, Nazrul Islam, 32, of Atshattipara village died when a bus rammed into his motorcycle on Rangpur-Sundarganj road in Chowdhurani area of Pirgachha upazila.
Our Noakhali correspondent adds Kalu Mia, 65, of West Charjabber village died when a CNG-run auto-rickshaw hit him while he was standing beside Sonapur-Steamerghat road as the driver lost control over the vehicle in Abdullah Miarhat area of Subarnachar upazila.
