Four people were killed and 12 others injured in road accidents across the country yesterday and Saturday.
Our Moulvibazar correspondent reports, Abed Ahmed, 36, of Kulaura upazila, died after a microbus hit him while he was crossing Kulaura-Robirbazar road at Robirbazar in the upazila yesterday.
Agitated locals blocked the road for an hour in protest.
Our Netrakona correspondent reports, a person was killed and six others were injured when a passenger vehicle fell into a roadside ditch in Agia Bazar area of Purbadhola upazila yesterday.
The deceased was Rustom Ali, 60, of the upazila. Two of the injured were taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital while others were admitted to local health complex.
Our Jhenidah correspondent adds, a person was killed and six others were injured when a bus of JR Paribahan collided head-on with a locally-assembled three wheeler carrying them near Kala-Lakkhipur area on Saturday evening.
The deceased was Sudeb Kundu, 60, of Sadar upazila. The injured were rushed to Magura Sadar Hospital.
Our Chittagong correspondent adds, a pick-up driver was killed when a picnic bus collided head-on with the vehicle on Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway in Moulovi Pukur area of Satkania upazila yesterday.
The deceased was Nurul Absar, 25, of Satkania.
