Road crashes kill 6, injure 2
Six people died and two others were injured in road accidents in the country yesterday.
Our Chapainawabganj correspondent reports, four people died when a truck hit a rickshaw-van on Naogaon-Rajshahi road at Madrasa intersection in Hapania area of Naogaon Sadar.
The deceased were Abdus Sattar, 40, of Manda upazila his daughter Khusi, 8, Mohammad Sohel, 18, of Sadar upazila and Soimuddin, 30, of Mohadevpur upazila.
Our Pirojpur correspondent reports, bus helper Shahjalal, 28, of Phuljhuri died when he fell off a running bus and run over by the bus in Dakkhin Ikri village of Bhandaria upazila.
Our Mymensingh correspondent adds Fatema Begum, 35, of Bhawanipur village died and two people were injured when two battery-run auto-rickshaws collided head-on on Ramgopalpur-Gouripur road in Bhawanipur of Gouripur upazila.
