Road crashes kill 5
Countrywide road accidents killed five people and injured five others yesterday.
Our Natore correspondent reports, Nannu Sheikh, 14, son of Hanif Sheikh of Shakhila village died and five people were injured when two battery-run auto-rickshaws collided head-on in Tuladhana area of Natore Sadar.
Our Gaibandha correspondent reports, Meem Akhter, 3, daughter of Motalib Mia of Kalugari village died when she was run over by an auto-rickshaw on Palashbari-Ghoraghat road at Kalugari.
Our Moulvibazar correspondent reports, Nafij Miah, 38, of Jaganathpur village died when a truck hit him as the driver lost control over the vehicle on Habiganj-Moulvibazar road in Shah Mostofa road area of Sadar upazila.
In Habiganj, two youths died when a pickup-van hit a three-wheeler from behind in Ratanpur area of Madhabpur upazila.
The deceased were Kaptan Miah, 25, and Mohsin Miah, 26. Both hailed from Brahmanbaria.
