Road accidents kill six
Six people were killed and 20 others injured in road accidents in the country yesterday and Monday.
Our Rangpur correspondent reports, two people died and 10 others were injured when a bus hit a truck from behind on Rangpur-Dhaka highway at Chak-Sholagari in Pirganj upazila yesterday.
The dead are Riad Babu, 14, of Baro Mirjapur village and Shariful Islam, 32, of Gaibandha.
In Noakhali, Humayun Kabir of Mohammadpur village died when a tractor hit his motorcycle at Teker Bazar of Senbagh upazila on Monday.
Our Gaibandha correspondent reports, two died and 10 others were injured when a bus collided head-on with a truck on Bogra-Rangpur highway at Shallowpara in Palashbari upazila yesterday.
The deceased were Shariful Islam, 28, of Hasanganj village and Motiur Rahman, 33, of Satibari village.
Our Mymensingh correspondent adds, Bachchu Miah, 32, died when a truck ran him over while crossing Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at Seed Store in Bhaluka yesterday.
