Road accidents kill 9
Nine people were killed in road accidents in Natore, Chittagong, Comilla, Chuadanga, Dinajpur, Chapainawabganj, and Bogra on Thursday and yesterday.
Our Natore correspondent reports, Ashik Hossain, 10, son of Saiful Islam, died instantly as a bus ran him over while he was crossing Natore-Rajshahi highway in Dakmara-Gorosthan yesterday noon.
Meanwhile, car driver Sujarul Islam, 28, died as his vehicle fell into a ditch beside Natore-Pabna highway at Dairpara in Lalpur yesterday.
Our staff correspondent from Chittagong reports, Al Amin, 8, son of Mohammed Selim, was killed when a CNG-run auto-rickshaw hit him in the city's Double Mooring area yesterday afternoon.
A correspondent from Comilla adds, Ayna Begum, 70, of Korin in Debidwar, died as a truck ran her over while she was crossing Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Dotlay in Chandina upazila yesterday evening.
Our Chuadanga correspondent reports, Nisharan Bibi, 72, was killed as a bus hit her on Chuadanga-Meherpur road in Bhalipur area of Alamdanga upazila yesterday morning.
Our Dinajpur correspondent adds, a truck ran over Asraful Alam Sohag, 20, on Biral-Dinajpur road at Kanchanghat in Biral upazila, leaving him dead yesterday.
Meanwhile, an unidentified motorcyclist died as a truck hit him on Dinajpur-Parbatipur road at Bhaberbazar in Parbatipur upazila yesterday.
Our Chapainawabganj correspondent reports, human hauler driver Nasir uddin, 25, was killed as a tractor hit his vehicle at Borobhita in Gomostapur upazila yesterday morning.
Our Bogra correspondent adds, Maruf Hossain, 20, died as a tractor hit his motorbike at Raktadahobil area in Dupchanchia Thursday evening.
