Riasat Alve makes it to NatGeo magazine
Kazi Riasat Alve from Bangladesh has won the “Canon Explore to Inspire” photography contest. To celebrate the occasion, an Award Ceremony was organised at the IDB BCS Computer City display center of JAN Associates, the distributor of Canon Camera in Bangladesh, says a press release. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology was the chief guest of the ceremony.
Canon's contest for amateur photographers had a staggering 16,222 submissions, from which Alve's “Playing in the muddy field”, won the top prize.
Alve received a Canon EOS 5D Mark III Digital SLR camera and a trip to San Francisco to attend a photo workshop of National Geographic. The winner's photo will also be published in the March issue of National Geography magazine. At the same event, the names of three Photographers selected for Canon Japan Tour were announced. They are: Ziaul Islam, Sajjad Hossein and Mojahidul Islam Dhew.
