Result of third year final not out even after a year

The result of the third year final examinations of Rajshahi University's genetics department under the 2009-10 session has not yet been published even though a year has passed since the exams took place.  
Some students of the department spoke to The Daily Star yesterday expressing their frustration of not getting their exam result even after a year.
Department sources said the month-long exams began on June 31 last year.
They added that according to the university rules result of any exam is to be published within six months of sitting for that exam.
Contacted, Prof Biswanath Shikder, exam committee chairman, said they would publish the result as soon as possible.

He said the department had been facing certain academic complexities and so it could not publish the result in time.
Prof Anil Chandra Dev, chairman of the department, said, “I have directed the exam committee to publish the result immediately.”
