Rajshahi tops in pass rate
Like the previous year, Rajshahi has topped among the eight general education boards with an impressive 96.34 percent pass rate, 3.67 percentage points higher than the national average.
The pass rate among female students (96.5 percent) is higher than that among male ones (96.16 percent), but boys outnumbered the girls in achieving GPA-5. Among the GPA-5 achievers, 10,825 are boys and 8,990 girls.
The educational institutions under the board also fared tremendously well in maintaining 100 percent pass rate, with 41.5 percent of a total of 2,542 institutions achieving the feat. As in the last year, none of the institutions saw a zero percent pass rate.
This year, a total of 1,22,168 students sat for the exams. The pass rate is 98.21 percent among science students, 96.76 percent among business studies students, and 94.88 percent among humanities students.
