No decision to suspend air communication with any country: state minister for civil aviation
State Minister for Civil Aviation Md Mahbub Ali today said that no decision has been taken to suspend air communication with any country.
Air communication with all countries will continue in compliance with health regulations, he said while talking to reporters after inaugurating a rooftop restaurant at Parjatan Bhaban, the headquarters of the Bangladesh Tourism Corporation, in the capital's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.
Replying to another question, the state minister said, after the lifting of ban on flight operations by the respective countries due to a new strain of Covid-19 including Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh will immediately resume flights to those countries.
While inaugurating the 150-seat restaurant with an area of 6,600 square, the state minister said "Through the implementation of all these initiatives, Bangladesh will become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world in the future."
The restaurant is owned by Bangladesh Tourism Corporation and is equipped with elevators and basement parking for customers.

Chairman of Bangladesh Tourism Corporation Ram Chandra Das presided over the function while Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mohibul Haque and Chief Executive Officer of Bangladesh Tourism Board Jabed Ahmed, among others were present as special guests.
