Nur Hossain's bodyguard remanded
A court here yesterday placed Mortuza Zaman Churchill on a five-day remand in connection with the sensational seven-murder in Narayanganj. Mortuza was the bodyguard of Nur Hossain, prime suspect in the murder incident.
District Senior Judicial Magistrate Monowara Begum granted the bail, said court sources.
Arguing in favour of the bail prayer, police told the court that Mortuza might have important information about Nur's criminal activities, and so he should be remanded.
Law enforcers picked up Mortuza from his in-laws' house in Salam Khar Dangi village of Faridpur on Friday.
