Finance Minister AMA Muhith said Wednesday that Muhammad Yunus would not get back control over the Grameen Bank.
"No matter how hard he tries, Professor Yunus would not be able to grab the Grameen Bank anymore," the finance minister told newsmen at the cabinet division.
About the government share in the Nobel Prize winning microlender, Muhith said the government will have 25 percent share in it and it would not be increased.
The bank will be controlled by a regulatory body which will be decided by the cabinet, he added.
Replying to another query, he said the final report of the Grameen Bank Commission might be submitted within the next week.
The government in May last year set up the commission to review the operations of the bank and the associated organisations founded by Prof Yunus, and to make recommendations about their future structure.
