Workshop on disaster reporting begins in Ctg today

CHITTAGONG, Jan 21: A five-day training workshop on "Disaster Reporting" under the joint auspices of Commonwealth Journalists Association Bangladesh (CJA, B) and London-based CJA begins at the Engineers Institution here tomorrow, reports BSS.

Communications Minister Anwar Hossain is expected to inaugurate the workshop, a press release of the CJA, B said here tonight.

Fifteen journalists representing national and regional newspapers in the disaster-prone areas of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Barisal, Khulna, Bhola, Patuakhali, Lakshipur, Sylhet and Rajshahi are participating in the workshop.

Paul Brown, environment correspondent of the Guardian, London, will conduct the course.
