Warrant of arrest against Inquilab Editor

The Metropolitan Magistrate yesterday issued warrant of arrest against the Editor and others of daily Inquilab and News Editor of Dinkal in two separate defamation cases as they failed to respond to the summon, reports UNB.

In the first case, Magistrate Abdus Salam issued warrant against Editor AMM Bahauddin, publisher ASM Baqibillah and reporter Salahuddin Bablu of Inquilab.

The petitioner said the daily on July 10 last year published a report under caption "Adam Pacharer Ovijog" which was false, concocted and defamatory".

In another case the CMM issued warrant of arrest of News Editor of Dinkal Dr Rezaul Siddiqi upon a defamation case filed by Syed Hasan Imam. Others accused in the case appeared in the court were granted bail.
