Vikarun Nisa Noon dead

Begum Vikarun Nisa Noon, founder of Vikarun Nisa Noon School and College of Dhaka, died in Islamabad on Sunday, according to a message received in the capital yesterday, reports UNB.

Her namaj-e-janaza was held in Islamabad after a funeral procession yesterday. She was buried in the afternoon.

Vikarun Nisa Noon served as minister of tourism in 1970s. She had also been the head of Pakistan Red Cross Society, Pakistan Youth Association and a number of other social welfare organisations.
