UN team meets EC

A three-member delegation of the United Nations (UN) called on Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed at the Election Commission (EC) Secretariat yesterday, but declined to brief the media.
The delegation, led by UN Resident Coordinator in Dhaka Neal Walker, reached there around 2:40pm, and left the office after an hour-long meeting.
The CEC also denied talking to reporters about the outcome of the meeting.
However, sources in the EC said the delegation might have discussed the logistic support in the upcoming 10th parliamentary election.
EC Additional Secretary Sirajul Islam was present in the meeting.
