Two workers killed in Jhenidah mud collapse

Two day labourers were killed as a chunk of earth fell on them at Brahimpur village in Shailakupa upazila yesterday.
The deceased were identified as Sirajul Islam, 40, son of Rabbani Mondol and Matiar Rahman, 42, son of Abdul Gani of the village.
Police said a big chunk of earth fell on a group of workers while they were digging soil of a pond of Abu Bakar at the village at noon.
On information, local fire brigade men took Sirajul and Matiar to Sadar Hospital where the doctors declared them dead.
Three other day labourers were also injured in the accident.
