Two found dead in capital
Two persons were found dead in different areas in the capital yesterday.
In Shyampur, police recovered the body of Selim alias Rana, 30, from an alley in Dholaipar area.
Selim was a criminal, said Shyampur police.
The body bore rope marks on the neck which suggest that Rana might have been strangled, said police, adding that there were also several stab injuries in his stomach.
A total of 10 cases had been filed against Selim with Kadamtali and Shyampur police stations for his involvement in robbery, mugging and bomb explosions, the police official added.
Meanwhile in Hazaribagh, Ismat Ara, 28, was found dead in her residence near Basila Bridge.
On information, police went to the house where Ismat used to live alone and recovered the body from the floor of her bedroom.
Marks found on the neck indicate that she was strangled, said Hazaribagh police.
The open steel cabinet
in the room suggests that the killer might have robbed some valuables, he added.
