Two die after taking alcohol in city

Two young men died after taking alcohol in separate incidents in the city last night.

The victims were identified as Kala Chan Goswami, 30, of Baharpur of Rajbari and Nikhil Sarker, 40.

Hospital sources said Kala was found unconscious in a room of a residential hotel at BCC Road on Thursday. He was sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital in an intoxicated condition. He died at the DMCH at about 3 am yesterday. The body was sent to DMCH morgue for autopsy.

In another incident, Nikhil was sent to the DMCH in an intoxicated state by the employee of a hotel at Waizghat in old Dhaka. He died at the DMCH at 2 am yesterday.

Hospital sources quoting witnesses said Nikhil drunk along with his friends at the hotel room. He suddenly fell sick. He died soon after admission to the hospital. The body was sent to DMCH morgue for autopsy.
