Twist up my lipstick

Summer usually brings a lot of warm and fuzzy feels around us but the major drawback as any girl would vehemently confirm is that long lasting eye make-up is a foreign fantasy. Anything starting from liners to mascaras will eventually melt or smudge.
So this season our personal advice to all the ladies in distress would be to opt for the next best thing -- brighten up your face with a colorful smile.
Vivid lips are all you want for the hot summer days because too much makeup eventually turns into a big mess. And in 2013, lips are the biggest thing in beauty. From perfect pastels to beautiful bolds, you choose your tint.
Ranking steadily as an ultimate favourite is MAC; it has launched a new line of ''statement'' lipsticks -- a lot like statement jewellery really. These lipsticks are available in bold colour shades of purple and coral with recent tidal successes being ''Lady At Play'' and ''Feel My Pulse''. Apart from these colours, other popular choices are ''Twig'', ''Pink Nouveau'' and “MAC Red”. They are also easier to carry off for most skin tones. Most M.A.C. lipsticks are available at Almas and Priyo, ranging from Tk 1750 to Tk 2200. These are, in comparison to other brands, slightly more expensive but they also are long lasting and have other benefits like moisturising the lips and being luscious yet matte.
But there are other well known brands available as well. Revlon has an array of alluring shades. Revlon Colorburst Lipcolor's “Love That Pink” and “Certainly Red” are just too good to resist. And for more subtle shades, you can try “Silver City Pink” or “Caramel Glace”.
Go from drab to fab with the melange of the gorgeous shades from Lóreal Colour Riché. “Sunset Angora” and “Cherry Tulle” can be the perfect choice for the season. There are also other good brands to paint your perfect pouts -- Maybelline, Clinique and Botanics (from Boots) are a few of them. All these lipsticks will come to you in no more than Tk.260. However, Clinique lipsticks are costlier. They will cost around Tk 1900.
Lipglosses are not quite suitable for summer. You can wear these matte lipsticks with any kind of attire. Teaming it up with boldly winged eye wouldn't be a bad idea either. So go grab your favourite lipstick and make a statement!
