Indigenous woman killed in city road crash

A middle-aged tribal woman was crushed under the wheels of a bus in the city’s Bhatara area Thursday morning.

The victim was identified as Bisotee, 42, wife of Zohon Chambo Gong of Garo para under Fulpur Police Station in Mymensingh district.

Contacted, Fariduzzaman, sub-inspector of Bhatara Police Station, said the accident took place when the woman was crossing the road in front of Nadda bus stop in Basundhara residential area at about 7:15am.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue.
