Transparency International Bangladesh on Friday proposed forming of a Parliamentary Consensus Committee from both ruling party and opposition to select a poll-time government so that the next general elections can be held in a free, fair and neutral manner.
The parliamentary committee will select the government consisting 11 members including its head, said Sultana Kamal, chairman of TIB board of trustees.
"We foresee transparency in order to ensure good governance, and in absence of it, corruption prevails; so we have to think on this matter," she said while addressing a press briefing at Brac Centre Inn in the capital.
