Thai journalist team arrives in Ctg yesterday
A 10-member Thai journalist team arrived in the port city yesterday on a three-day visit as part of growing exchanges following the recent visits of Bangladesh and Thai prime ministers to each other's countries.
The Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry officials received the delegation at the airport.
A Thai Airways flight from Chiangmai brought the team comprising Bangkok-based journalists of print and electronic media.
The Thai press team is scheduled to go around different places in the port city including tourism spots, shopping malls and industrial sites including the under construction Korean Export Processing Zone and the country's biggest multi-national fertilizer industry KAFCO.
"Media people from both sides could play a vital role in promoting trade, tourism, investment, health care as well as exploring new areas in potential sectors to give a solid foundation to the relations between Thailand and Bangladesh", said a female Thai journalist.
A number of journalist delegations from the two countries have already visited each other's countries in mid-December last year.
