Team flies off today

A 21-member contingent leaves here for China today to take part in the 2nd Asian Youth Games, with a slim hope of grabbing a couple of medals in shooting, weightlifting and golf.
The remaining eight members of the contingent, who are from shooting and taekwondo, will leave for China tomorrow.
The Asian Youth Games is scheduled to take place in Nanjing from August 16 to 24. Bangladesh will take part in eight disciplines -- athletics, swimming, shooting, weightlifting, golf, badminton, basketball and taekwondo.
In the first Asian Youth Games in Singapore, Bangladesh participated in four disciplines and returned with wooden spoon.
