Swimming ends with BKSP's reign

The Bashundhara 29th National Age-group Swimming Championships concluded at the National Swimming Complex in Mirpur yesterday, with complete dominance of Bangladesh Krira Shikhha Protishthan (BKSP). BKSP grabbed 58 gold, 44 silver and 29 bronze medals in 100 events and were distantly followed by Bangladesh Ansar in second position, which won 15 gold, 19 silver and 15 bronze medals.
Ariful Islam of BKSP became the best swimmer among boys after clinching 13 gold medals while Marium Khatun of the same institution became the best swimmer among girls with eight gold, one silver and three bronze medals. Marium also set two new records. Apart from these two, Zahidul Islam and Titu Mia, both of BKSP, won eleven gold each while Nayan Ali of Lalon Shah Swimming Club and Rasheda Khatun of Meherpur Swimming Club won six gold each.
A total of eleven new records were set in the three-day meet.
