Stocks nosedive
The prices of the most shares on the country's premier bourse nosedive on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.
Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) started today's trading 15-minute late at 10:45am than its schedule time to mourn the deaths of Savar building collapse.
The government declared Thursday as National Mourning day following the Savar incident that killed 191 people till this afternoon.
DGEN, the general index of DSE, shed 6 points to reach 3,653 points at the closing of the day's trading.
Of the issues traded, 140 declined, 101 advanced, 31 remained unchanged.
A total of 49,115 trades were executed with Tk 112 crore changing hands.
On Wednesday, the trading at DSE reached 3,660 points after decreasing 1.80 points.
