Stocks upbeat

The prices of the most shares on the country’s premier bourse increased on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

DGEN, the general index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), increased 62 points to reach 4,162 points at closing of the day's trading.

Of the issues traded, 244 advanced, 29 declined and 10 remained unchanged.

A total of 1,33,316 trades were executed with Tk 476 crore changing hands.

On Thursday, the trading at DSE reached 4,100 points after increasing 18 points.
