Stocks nosedive

The prices of the most shares on the country’s premier bourse dipped on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

DGEN, the general index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed 39 points to reach 4,385 points at the end of the day's trading.

Of the issues traded, 161 declined, 105 advanced and 20 remained unchanged.

A total of 126,636 trades were executed with Tk 568 crore changing hands.

On Thursday, the trading at DSE reached 4,425 points after dropping 39 points.
